Jasprit Bumrah and Sam Konstas found themselves in a heated exchange just before stumps on Day 1 of the Sydney Test, which drew in Virat Kohli as well.
Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli’s fiery confrontation with Sam Konstas
Australia’s young opener Sam Konstas has repeatedly demonstrated that he isn’t shy about voicing his thoughts. In the final over before stumps on Day 1 of the 5th Test between Australia and India on Friday, Konstas provoked Jasprit Bumrah over a situation that didn’t concern him. Following this incident, Bumrah dismissed Konstas’ opening partner Usman Khawaja, which led to a display of aggression from the Indian pacer, prompting Kohli to get involved too.
The drama unfolded on the second-to-last delivery of the day when Khawaja took a moment to settle in at the striker’s end, disrupting Bumrah’s rhythm. However, Konstas, at the non-striker’s end, decided to chime in with a few words directed at Bumrah, which only served to agitate the bowler.
